Our Money Mavens Mission

Are you considering a 401k rollover? Here are several compelling benefits to take into account:

  1. Greater Investment Options: Rolling over your 401k into an IRA typically offers a wider range of investment choices, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs. This flexibility can help you better align your investments with your financial goals.

  2. Simplified Management: Consolidating multiple retirement accounts into a single IRA can streamline your financial management. It’s easier to monitor and manage your investments when they’re in one place, reducing the complexity of your retirement planning.

  3. Potential for Lower Fees: Many 401k plans come with higher administrative fees. By rolling over to an IRA, you might be able to reduce costs, preserving more of your savings for your retirement.

  4. Tax Advantages: A direct rollover from your 401k to an IRA maintains the tax-deferred status of your retirement savings. This means you won’t incur taxes at the time of the rollover, allowing your investments to continue growing without immediate tax implications.

  5. Control Over Withdrawals: IRAs often provide more flexibility regarding withdrawals, which can be beneficial as you approach retirement. Understanding the rules surrounding distributions can help you strategize more effectively for your retirement income needs.

  6. Legacy Planning: An IRA can offer more options for estate planning, including potential benefits regarding inherited accounts. This could help you leave a more substantial financial legacy for your beneficiaries.

By considering a 401k rollover, you leverage these benefits to enhance your retirement strategy. Take the next step toward securing a more flexible and potentially profitable retirement plan today.

MEET OUR FOUNDER | Joanna Nash

I’ve been in financial services for a very long time now. When I first started, I was the quietest voice in the room — Not anymore.

As a financial professional, a single mom of a child with special needs & an aging parent with health challenges — I quickly realized, conventional financial wisdom, just wasn’t quite enough.

It was going to take more than just life insurance, a few months of savings and a 401k to implement a financial plan that would truly give me peace of mind.

I knew I couldn’t be alone. As a result, I have made it my purpose in life to help women map out a plan for their financial future — a plan that serves them, their families, and ultimately their legacies.

Welcome to Money Mavens!

MEET OUR MARKETING DIRECTOR | Heather Brame

“I was a teen mother, widow, & college graduate, all before I turned 23.”

I moved to Chattanooga, TN, in 2005 from Memphis, TN. I have spent all these years working on myself and learning to do hard things. I was a teen mother, widow, and college graduate, all before I turned 23. When I graduated with my Nursing degree, I felt unstoppable, like I could do this life thing well. During these years in healthcare, I loved nursing and pursued my bachelor’s and then a master’s in nursing. I took on more responsibilities in the hospital and was finding my niche. Then COVID hit. Anyone in or who has worked in healthcare understands what COVID did to us. I needed a way out.

After months of applying for remote nursing jobs and getting turned down, I had enough. Joanna wanted to know if I knew of someone who could help her with marketing and taking on some of the responsibilities required for a successful practice in the digital age. When I was reading through the list of duties, I knew that it was something that I could do. I leaped, and I have yet to look back. I am grateful for my time serving in the hospital, but I am now serving my community in new ways that allow me some autonomy and creativity. I have always been a supporter of Money Mavens and now, I get to help it grow!
